The values that are obtained and priced according to the required units in the meter part are called Rial estimate or project price estimate. Therefore, in the discussion of calculation or meter and estimation, two basic goals are followed and the following types of estimations are shown:

A) Determining the amount of consumables, human power according to the type of expertise and their number, and machine power according to their type and number and duration during the project.

B) Determining the Riyal or foreign currency price of the project, which is usually done in two stages:

1) Before the implementation of the project, to determine and forecast the budget for the implementation of the project.
2) It is during the project implementation stage, which is usually presented in the form of a status report.

(Estimate) 1-

Forecasting the values of the desired project committees, which is usually used for the costs of a project, its resources and the time of project implementation.

(Quantity survey – Bill of quantity estimation) 2-

It is the calculation of small amounts of various items of a plan.

(Approximate estimation)

It is an estimate that is not accurate because it is based on preliminary information.

(Execution cost estimate) 4-

It is the amount that has been calculated and announced by the employer as the cost of implementing the subject of the contract.

(Preliminary estimation) 5-

An estimate that relies on summary measurement and very general prices of the work unit, such as the estimate of the building of a project without an in-depth study, which is calculated and predicted based on the type of building and infrastructure and its applications according to statistics and figures and experience of previous projects.

(Preliminary estimation) 6ـ

It is an estimate that can be made after the end of the process engineering from the basic engineering with a positive, minus 15 to 25 percent error.

(Definitive estimation) 7-

It is an estimate that can be made after the end of basic engineering with a positive, minus 10-15% error rate. The designation is also decisive for making a decision to stop or continue work.

(Detailed estimation) 9-

It is an estimate that is prepared after the end of the detailed engineering or detailed design stage using executive drawings and can be accepted with an error of up to 10%.

(Cost estimating) 8-

It is a calculation process that is obtained according to surveys, measurements, or measurement (based on maps and specifications) of various values and parameters of the project, and then by applying the unit price related to them, the cost of project implementation is calculated.

(Estimating of the work execution) 10-

It is an estimate that has been prepared and approved by the executive body according to the method determined in the service description of the relevant part or stage and based on daily prices on the date of submission of the report of the relevant part or stage.
